The concept
A limited-cover evening, built around the season
Camionette is the quieter half of Camion & Camionette. With only a limited number of covers each evening, the room stays intimate and the pace stays unhurried — closer to a dinner at someone's table than a busy restaurant floor.
The kitchen works circularly: vegetables, grains and overlooked cuts are used across the menu, trimmings become stocks and ferments, and what can't be plated finds its way back into the cycle. The menu shifts with the market rather than a fixed recipe book, so what you taste is a snapshot of the week, not a standing list.
Plant-forward by conviction, seasonal by necessity, and deliberately low-waste at every step — that is the whole point of the evening.

Inside the Poortgebouw
Camionette lives in the Poortgebouw on Hospitaalplein, at the edge of Antwerp's Groen Kwartier. The evening lighting and calm room turn the same space into something warmer after dark.
